This complete and balanced dry puppy food supports the growth of small-breed dogs aged up to 10 months old. The tasty recipe is expertly tailored to meet the unique nutritional needs of our smallest canine companions.

Ideally adapted to dogs’ needs and optimal health, Veterinary HPM® Puppy Small & Toy offers a low-carb, high-protein formula containing 23.5% carbohydrates and 35% protein (of which 89% of animal origin).

Healthy and intense growth
VETERINARY HPM® Puppy Small & Toy is rich in the nutrients your puppy needs for steady, healthy growth. It contains high energy density, a high amount of high quality protein, and the right balance of essential minerals like calcium and phosphorus.

Immune support
Beta-glucan is an insoluble fibre extracted from yeast that helps your puppy to build a strong, resilient immune system. It’s shown to improve the immune response after vaccinations, boosting your puppy’s defences against disease.[1]

Digestive tolerance
Prebiotics and probiotics support the growth of beneficial digestive flora in the gut. VETERINARY HPM® Puppy Small & Toy also includes psyllium fibre and bentonite to regulate digestive transit and ensure normal stool odour and consistency.

Oral and dental health
Set your puppy up for a lifetime of good oral and dental health. Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed helps to limit plaque and tartar formation and reduce bad breath in puppies.

Brain development
The first months are critical for your puppy’s ability to learn new skills, socialise, and respond to training. DHA from fish oil supports healthy brain development and cognitive function during this vital stage.

VETERINARY HPM® Puppy Small & Toy is a suitable food for puppies up to 10 months old, whose adult weight would be less than 10kg. It’s also ideal for pregnant and lactating dogs under 10kg, meeting the nutritional needs of both mother and puppy.

FAQ

VETERINARY HPM® Puppy Small & Toy Dog is a dry puppy food suitable for small-breed puppies up to 10 months old, who are expected to weigh no more than 10kg at their full adult weight. It’s also suitable for pregnant or lactating small-breed adult dogs weighing less than 10kg. Always check with your veterinarian before giving your pregnant or lactating dog a new food to ensure it’s suitable for their needs.

Dogs are naturally carnivores and need to eat an abundance of high-quality animal proteins for optimal health. This is especially true for puppies, who experience intense and rapid growth in their first year. VETERINARY HPM® Puppy Small & Toy Dog is formulated to meet these needs with 35% protein (90% animal origin) and 23.5% carbohydrates. The high-protein/low-carbohydrate balance is ideal for preserving lean muscle mass, achieving a healthy weight, and facilitating your dog's digestion.

You can find recommended daily ration for VETERINARY HPM® Puppy Small & Toy Dog on this page and on the packaging. For puppies, the rations will depend on their age and body weight. Weigh your puppy every month and adjust their rations as needed to ensure healthy growth. For pregnant dogs, calculate the ration based on their weight at the start of pregnancy. For lactating dogs, calculate the ration based on their current weight. If you’re unsure how much to feed your dog at any age or life stage, always ask your vet for advice.

It’s always best to introduce new foods gradually. Try mixing a small amount of the new food with your dog’s current food, gradually increasing the amount until they’re exclusively eating the new food. Use the following schedule as a guide for a successful transition: • Days 1-2 – 75% current food and 25% new food. • Days 3-4 – 50% current food and 50% new food. • Days 5-6 – 25% current food and 75% new food. • Day 7 onwards – 100% new food.
